Jeremiah 29:1–10
1–3These are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem to the surviving elders of the exiles, and to the priests, the prophets, and all the people, whom Nebuchadnezzar had taken into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon. This was after King Jeconiah and the queen mother, the eunuchs, the officials of Judah and Jerusalem, the craftsmen, and the metal workers had departed from Jerusalem. The letter was sent by the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent to Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. It said:
4–5Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, to all the exiles whom I have sent into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat their produce.
6Take wives and have sons and daughters; take wives for your sons, and give your daughters in marriage, that they may bear sons and daughters; multiply there, and do not decrease.
7But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.
8–10For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are among you deceive you, and do not listen to the dreams that they dream, for it is a lie that they are prophesying to you in my name; I did not send them, declares the Lord. For thus says the Lord: When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will visit you, and I will fulfill to you my promise and bring you back to this place.

The Vision
A word for people between homes
Jeremiah wrote to a congregation far from the place they thought they would always be. God did not tell them to wait it out. He told them to build, to plant, and to bless the city around them. That is the posture of The Rooted Project.
Build houses and live in them
A permanent home of our own — a sanctuary, classrooms for our kids, and space for the ministries we currently turn away for lack of room.
Plant gardens and multiply
Land we can steward for generations: room to gather, to grow, and to hand something solid to the families who come after us.
Seek the welfare of the city
A building is not the point. A base is. Somewhere to serve our neighbors from, week in and week out, and pray for the good of this city.

What exactly is The Rooted Project?
Our campaign is about securing a permanent home for Grace Family Church—a place we can call our own, with land and a building that we own rather than rent. It’s an investment in our future, allowing us to establish deep roots, grow together, and make a lasting impact in our community.
How much are we trying to raise?
The goal is $250,000. The progress tracker further up this page shows how much has come in so far, updated as gifts arrive.
Where does my money actually go?
Gifts to this campaign are held for the purchase and preparation of our new home. They are kept separate from the general offering that funds week-to-week ministry.
Can I give monthly instead of all at once?
Yes, and many families do. A monthly pledge is often the most sustainable way to give generously, and it helps us plan with confidence.
Will we hear how it is going?
Yes. The progress figures on this page are updated as gifts come in, and we share fuller updates with the congregation as the campaign moves forward.
